10 Color-Changing Insect Toys

This set contains 10 stretchy insect figurines made from soft TPR rubber. Each piece changes colour when warmed to 33 degrees, then reverts in cooler air. The random assortment suits children aged three and above for sensory play or themed events.

Party favors and classroom rewards

The toys work well as cake toppers, goodie-bag fillers or prize-box stock for toddlers and early-school children. Buyers who need a specific insect species, a guaranteed colour palette or electronic features should look elsewhere.

Thermochromic stretch play

Warm hands or warm water trigger the colour shift, giving a simple cause-and-effect activity. The elastic bodies return to shape after moderate stretching, but the material is not designed for aggressive pulling or rough outdoor use.

Questions about this item

Do the 10 colour-changing insects need batteries or a power source to work?

No, the thermochromic material reacts to temperature alone; holding them or placing them in warm water around 33 degrees triggers the colour shift without any power.

Can the stretchy bugs be used safely alongside regular plastic bath toys the child already owns?

Yes, they are made from soft TPR rubber and contain no electronics, so they mix safely with standard plastic bath toys in water.

How can I confirm the thermochromic effect is working correctly after opening the pack?

Warm one insect in your hand or in water near 33 degrees; it should change colour, then revert when cooled in cold air or water.
