Dual RJ45 10 GbE NIC with Intel X550-AT2 controller, PCIe 3.0 x4, low-profile bracket included
This PCIe x4 network card uses an Intel X550-AT2 controller to provide two copper RJ45 ports. It targets servers and desktops that need 10 GbE connectivity over twisted-pair cabling. The adapter ships with both a standard and a low-profile bracket for flexible installation.
The card operates on a PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface (8.0 GT/s) and is backward compatible with 2.0 and 1.1 slots. It supports 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G link speeds, though 2.5G and 5G may require manual configuration if auto-negotiation fails. Hot-swap is not supported.
The Intel X550-AT2 controller on this board does not accept firmware updates. Compatibility includes Windows Server 2008 and 2012, Linux, FreeBSD 9 and 10, UEFI 2.1 and 2.3, and VMware ESXi 5.1 and 5.5 with limited functionality. It is not compatible with OPNsense v25.7.3 based on FreeBSD 14.3.

This card provides two RJ45 ports supporting 100M, 1G, 2.5G, 5G and 10G speeds, so one adapter covers both uplinks and server links without needing a second slot.
The Intel X550-AT2 controller drives both ports at line-rate 10GbE with 15.5KB jumbo frames, TCP/IP checksum offload, VMDq virtualisation queues and typical power draw of 11.2W.
The card runs at PCIe 3.0 8.0GT/s x4 but is compatible with 2.0 and 1.1 slots; in a 2.0 x4 slot the link caps at 5GT/s, still above dual 10GbE wire speed.
