New Edinburgh story expansion

Frostpunk 2: Breach of Trust is a downloadable story expansion for the city-survival simulation. It adds a new narrative arc set in the volcanic city of New Edinburgh and the frozen colony of Aurora. The DLC requires the base game and a Steam account for activation on PC.

Expands the base campaign with fresh mechanics

This content replaces the standard end-game loop with a Vote of Trust system, Tremors, and Volcano Night hazards. The jump is worth it when you want a structured story arc that introduces five distinct factions and an independent colony you can trade with, extort, or conquer.

Five factions and dual-city management

The expansion comfortably handles layered political balancing across two settlements while introducing lethal environmental events. It runs out if you prefer pure sandbox building without narrative checkpoints or if you expect new engine-level graphics features beyond the base simulation.
