King's Bounty Ultimate Edition bundle

This downloadable bundle delivers four full roleplaying strategy titles from 1C Publishing EU. It includes King's Bounty: The Legend, Armored Princess, Crossworlds and Warriors of the North Valhalla Edition. The package activates through a Steam account and is intended for players who want the complete series in one purchase. Buyers who only want a single campaign should look at individual releases instead.

Runs on modest Windows PCs with 20 GB storage

Minimum requirements call for a 2.6 GHz processor, 1 GB memory and a video card equivalent to a GeForce 6600 with 128 MB VRAM. Recommended specs raise the processor to 3 GHz, memory to 2 GB and graphics to a GeForce 7950GT with 512 MB VRAM. A DirectX-compatible soundcard and 20 GB free hard disk space are needed for installation. The game targets older Windows versions from XP through Win 7.

Steam key unlocks all four titles instantly

The single online code adds every included game to your Steam library at once, removing the need to redeem separate keys. Steam handles downloads, updates and cloud saves for each entry automatically. Activation is blocked in a specific list of countries including RU, UA, CN and others; purchasers in those regions cannot register the product. No physical media or additional launcher is supplied.

Questions about this item

How do I activate the Steam code for King's Bounty: Ultimate Edition and what step do people miss?

Create or log into a Steam account, select "Activate a Product on Steam" from the Games menu, enter the code, then install the 20 GB bundle; the step often missed is verifying the account is not registered in a blocked region such as RU or UA before entering the code.

Will I need to repurchase or update the DRM client for this 2015 bundle later?

The bundle uses the Steam client for DRM; as long as Valve supports the client on Windows, no repurchase is needed, though future Steam updates may eventually drop support for the listed Windows XP and Vista minimum operating systems.

What hardware limit appears first when running the included titles on the minimum 2.6 GHz processor and 1 GB memory?

The 1 GB system memory and 128 MB video memory on a GeForce 6600 will bottleneck large battle maps and modded content long before the 20 GB storage fill becomes an issue.
