1C Publishing EU Necrovision Steam code

This downloadable first-person shooter from 1C Online Games delivers a mature-rated single-player campaign through Steam. The product is an online game code that activates on Steam for Windows PCs in supported regions. Buyers receive a digital licence rather than physical media.

ESRB Mature 17+ rating

The title carries an ESRB M rating for blood, gore, intense language and violence, restricting purchase to players aged 17 and older. This content descriptor is the single specification that determines whether the game suits a given household or account holder.

Minimum 1 GB RAM on Windows XP

The game runs on Windows XP SP2 or Vista with a Pentium 4 2.4 GHz or Athlon 64 +2800 processor, 1 GB RAM on XP or 1.5 GB on Vista, and a 256 MB DirectX 9 Pixel Shader 3.0 graphics card such as a GeForce 6600 or Radeon X1600. It requires 8.0 GB of disk space and a DirectX 9.0c sound device. Systems below these specifications will not launch the title, and the code cannot be activated in the blocked countries listed in the specifications.

Questions about this item

How does the 256 MB video memory requirement translate to actual graphics cards?

The minimum spec lists an NVIDIA GeForce 6600 or ATI Radeon X1600 or better, meaning any card with 256 MB VRAM and DirectX 9 Pixel Shader 3.0 support meets the baseline.

What does Steam DRM mean for installing and playing Necrovision?

The game activates through Steam; you redeem the online code in the Steam client, which then downloads the 8.0 GB installation and manages updates and launch.

Will the downloadable version run on a modern 64-bit Windows system?

The official requirements only cover Windows XP SP2 and Vista with latest patches; compatibility with newer 64-bit Windows versions is not guaranteed by the publisher.
