Digital strategy game with Steam activation

Ascension to the Throne is a turn-based strategy title with RPG elements published by 1C Online Games. Players lead a hero through a fantasy world, recruiting allies and fighting tactical battles to reclaim a lost crown. The product is delivered as a downloadable Steam code for Windows PCs.

Suited for fans of classic turn-based strategy

This game suits players who enjoy slower, thoughtful combat and character progression on modest hardware. It will not satisfy buyers who want real-time action, modern 3D graphics or multiplayer modes. The blocked region list also prevents activation in several countries.

Steam DRM requires an online account

Activation and installation are tied to a Steam account, so a persistent internet connection is needed for the first launch. Offline play is possible afterwards, but the initial setup cannot be completed without signing in to the Steam client.

The Steam code is a one-time activation that permanently adds the game to your library; no renewal is required.

What hardware limit will I hit first if I run the game for many hours?

The 2.4 GB install size and 512 MB RAM minimum mean storage space and memory are the practical limits during long sessions.

How much heat or fan noise does the game generate on a typical PC?

With a GeForce 6600-class GPU and modest CPU load, the game runs cool and quiet on modern hardware.
