It is made for home owners who want a longer splash guard that keeps the countertop dry without daily wiping. The regular guard is only 14 inches long so this version covers more surface area.

Build Fit and Clearance

The mat lies flat on the counter and requires a clear space around the faucet base free of built-in filters or soap dispensers unless you cut the material to fit. It does not suit curved-rim sinks, side sinks, round sinks or thick faucet bases. Cutting is possible but requires care to keep the mat watertight.

Capacity and Limits

The 24 inch length handles splashes across most standard sinks and the slope prevents standing water from forming near the faucet. It will not work on non-standard sink shapes or where obstructions block the mat from lying flat. In those cases water can still reach the countertop.
