Essential Borderlands compilation

Borderlands: The Handsome Collection bundles the definitive versions of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel into a single downloadable package for Xbox One. It delivers the complete Handsome Jack saga with all bonus add-on content available as of March 24, 2015. The title supports four-player cooperative play online or locally. Split-screen multiplayer is upgraded to four players on one television.

Upgrade from legacy consoles

This collection replaces the separate Xbox 360 releases of both games and their individual DLC packs. The jump is worth it for owners of the previous generation versions who want upgraded visuals, four-player split-screen and cross-save transfer. Xbox One X Enhanced features provide 4K Ultra HD and HDR output. An internet connection and Xbox Live account are required to download and play.

Content capacity and limits

The package includes two full campaigns plus hundreds of hours of additional gameplay from all available add-on content as of the 2015 cutoff. It comfortably handles the entire solo and co-operative experience for up to four players. It runs out for anyone seeking brand-new story expansions released after March 2015 or content from Borderlands 3 and later titles.
