Capture Card for Streaming and Recording
The 3D Video Wizard GM-29A is an external HDMI capture device that connects via USB 3.0. It accepts video sources such as game consoles, cameras and other HDMI outputs for live streaming, recording or video conferencing on Windows, Mac, Linux or Android systems. No external power supply or driver installation is required.
USB 3.0 Bandwidth and Resolution Limits
The USB 3.0 interface caps the output at 1920×1080 at 60 fps or 2K at 30 fps while the HDMI input can receive up to 4K at 30 Hz. This means 4K 60 fps sources cannot be captured at their native frame rate. Builders who need higher capture frame rates at 4K should look elsewhere.
1080p 60 FPS Output Decides Suitability
The single specification that determines fit is the maximum recorded output of 1080p at 60 frames per second. If your workflow targets 1080p 60 fps streaming or recording, this card meets the requirement. If you must capture at 4K 60 fps, it will not.

Questions about this item
Is the GM-29A the only model in this series or are there other versions to choose from?
The GM-29A is the single model listed in the 3D Video Wizard series; no alternative capacities or versions appear in the specifications.
What does the 1080P 60FPS figure mean when the card is connected to a computer?
The card outputs up to 1920×1080 at 60 frames per second over USB 3.0, so recording and streaming software receives a full HD 60 fps signal.
How does the USB 3.0 interface limit the capture resolution in practice?
USB 3.0 bandwidth caps the output at 1920×1080 60Hz or 2K 30Hz even though the HDMI input can accept 4K 30Hz.
