HDMI capture with 100 W power delivery

This capture card converts an HDMI source into a USB or USB-C video stream while supplying up to 100 W of power delivery to the host device. It accepts a maximum input of 3840×2160 at 30 Hz and outputs up to 1920×1080 at 60 Hz for recording and streaming. The MS2130 chip provides low-latency transmission without requiring driver installation on Windows 7 through 10, macOS, Linux, Android or iPadOS 17+.

Sustained streaming and recording behaviour

The USB 3.0 interface runs at up to 5 Gbps, allowing continuous 1080p 60 fps capture during extended gaming or broadcast sessions. Real-time preview remains stable without blue-screen errors, picture tearing or noticeable flicker. The 100 W PD charging operates simultaneously so tablets or laptops stay powered throughout long captures.

Limits of the USB 3.0 and HDMI pathway

Output resolution is capped at 1080p 60 fps even when the source delivers 1440p 30 fps or 4K 30 Hz, so higher-resolution workflows cannot be preserved. The device is uni-directional and only converts HDMI to USB or USB-C; it cannot send video from a computer to an external display. Compatibility depends on the host supporting UVC over USB 3.0 and the PD negotiation succeeding with the connected charger.

Questions about this item

Does the MS2130 capture card generate noticeable heat or fan noise when streaming at 1080P 60fps all day?

The MS2130 uses a fanless aluminium housing that stays warm but silent during continuous 1080P 60fps capture; no active cooling is fitted.

What host port and operating system must I already have to use the 100W PD charging while capturing?

You need a USB 3.0 Type-C port that supports Power Delivery 3.0 on Windows 7/8/8.1/10, macOS, Linux, Android or iPadOS 17+.

Will the MS2130 pass 1440P 30fps from my older PS4 through the same HDMI cable without downscaling?

The card accepts up to 3840×2160@30Hz input and outputs a maximum of 1920×1080@60Hz, so a 1440P signal is downscaled to 1080P.
