A medium-format 3D scanner capturing objects from 15 mm to 1500 mm with 0.03 mm accuracy, 24-bit colour and 10 fps scanning
Model Moose
Version Standard
The 3DMakerPro Moose Premium is a handheld 3D scanner that captures objects from 15mm to 1500mm using a blue LED structured light source. It delivers up to .03mm accuracy and .07mm resolution at 10fps with 24-bit colour texture. The unit weighs 280g and measures 115×70×35mm. It runs on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS via JMStudio software.
This model replaces basic phone-based photogrammetry or low-cost turntable scanners that struggle with objects larger than 150mm or finer than .1mm detail. The jump is worth it when you need repeatable .03mm dimensional accuracy on parts up to 1500mm, full 24-bit colour capture, and anti-shake stabilisation at 10fps for functional prototypes or production-quality STL files.
Connect the scanner over USB to a PC meeting the minimum Intel Core i5 8th, 16GB RAM and MX250 GPU with 2GB VRAM, install JMStudio, and calibrate without special equipment. Common issues: scanning outdoors or under strong ambient light degrades the blue LED pattern; shiny or transparent surfaces require spray coating; and the 150-400mm working distance demands steady hand control or a tripod for large objects.
Measured against everything we stock in Portable 3D Scanners, at today’s prices. Recalculated every night.

Other versions of this model
You need a computer with at least an Intel Core i5 8th generation processor, 16GB RAM, and an MX250 GPU with 2GB VRAM, running Windows, Mac, Android, or iOS.
No special equipment is required for calibration; users often skip running the calibration routine in JMStudio before their first scan, which aligns the blue LED structured light for 0.03mm accuracy.
Keep the blue LED lens and sensor window clean, store the 280g unit in its case to avoid knocks, and install JMStudio updates for continued error correction and file export support.
