3M Delicate Surface Painters Tape 08582
Scotch Delicate Surface Painters Tape 08582 is designed for surfaces that require extra care such as wood floors, wallpaper, cabinets, painted drywall and freshly painted walls. The gentle adhesive stays in place for up to 60 days and removes cleanly without sticky residue. It suits decorators and DIYers who need sharp paint lines on sensitive finishes.
Edge-Lock Technology paint sealing
The tape features Edge-Lock Technology that seals out paint to deliver sharp lines on accent walls, decorative stripes and patterns. It is not suited for surfaces painted less than 24 hours ago or for applications requiring high-tack adhesion. The film width is 36 inch for broad coverage on large areas.
60-day clean removal window
The single specification that decides suitability is the 60-day clean removal period on delicate surfaces. Projects needing longer masking times or use on uncured paint will not meet this limit. Buyers who need permanent bonding or outdoor weather resistance should choose a different product.

Questions about this item
Which 3M door edge protection film length should I choose?
The 36 inch roll provides enough material for standard door edges and can be cut to fit smaller openings.
How long can this film stay on a freshly painted wall before removal?
It can remain in place for up to 60 days on surfaces painted at least 24 hours ago and still remove cleanly without residue.
What does Edge-Lock Technology do when I am painting near the film?
It seals the tape edge to block paint bleed so you get sharp lines and the tape lifts off cleanly afterward.
