12.1" 16:10 privacy filter

This 3M Bright Screen Privacy Filter fits a 12.1 inch bezel laptop with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It limits the viewing angle so people beside you cannot read the screen. The filter is designed for professionals who handle confidential data in shared spaces. Part number 7100288051 identifies the exact model.

16:10 aspect ratio match

The single specification that decides fit is the 16:10 aspect ratio on a 12.1 inch bezel. A filter made for 16:9 or a different diagonal will not cover the display correctly. Verify your laptop's screen shape before ordering to avoid gaps or overhang.

Bright screen clarity

The filter maintains high screen brightness so colours stay vivid and text remains sharp. Surface hardness resists everyday scratches and smudges. No power draw or fan noise is added because the filter is a passive optical layer.

Questions about this item

How much brighter is the screen with the 12.1" Bright Screen filter compared to a standard privacy filter?

3M states the Bright Screen filter is designed so you hardly notice it is there, keeping the display vivid while blocking side views for visual hackers.

What attachment method does the 7100288051 use and does it leave residue?

The filter applies easily to the bezel of a 12.1" 16:10 laptop and can be removed without leaving adhesive residue on the screen.

Will the 12.1" 16:10 filter fit a laptop with a 12.1" 4:3 aspect ratio screen?

No, the 7100288051 is cut for a 16:10 bezel; a 4:3 panel has different dimensions and the filter will not align correctly.
