16in 16:10 Bright Screen Privacy Filter

The 3M Bright Screen Privacy Filter model BP160W1B fits 16in laptops with a 16:10 aspect ratio. It limits the viewing angle so only the person directly in front of the screen can read the content. Visual hackers to the side see a darkened display. The filter is designed to be applied once and then left in place.

Brightness-preserving privacy layer

The filter uses 3M technology to maintain screen brightness while blocking side views. It comfortably handles open-plan offices, commuter trains and coffee-shop work where shoulder-surfing is a risk. It runs out of effectiveness when the viewer moves directly behind the user or when the screen is tilted far enough to align with the blocked angle.

Adhesive or magnetic attachment options

The filter ships with both adhesive strips and magnetic mounts so it can be fitted to bezels or glass surfaces without tools. It needs a clean, flat screen edge for the adhesive or a ferromagnetic bezel for the magnets. Once installed it frees the user from sliding shutters or removable hoods that must be stored and aligned each session.
