3M CLAW Drywall Hooks 15 lb

The 3M CLAW Drywall Hooks hold up to 15 pounds each using hardened steel claws that lock into drywall. Two black hooks are supplied for hanging coats, towels, backpacks or décor. Installation requires only a push action without tools or pilot holes. They suit renters and homeowners needing secure, damage-limited mounting.

Check wall suitability before ordering

Verify the mounting surface is standard drywall of adequate thickness for the claws to penetrate and grip. The hooks are not rated for plaster, concrete, brick, tile or hollow-core doors. Ensure the chosen location avoids hidden wiring, pipework or studs that would block claw engagement. Confirm the total load per hook will not exceed the 15 pound limit.

Sustained load behaviour

The engineered claws maintain a continuous clamping force on the drywall paper and core rather than relying on friction alone. Under a constant 15 pound load the hooks resist creep and do not gradually pull through the material. The hardened steel resists bending so the hook profile stays true during long-term use with heavy coats or wet towels.
