  • Triple-flange design fits a wide range of ear sizes

  • Metal-detectable ball bearing enables high detectability
  • Individual poly bags keep pairs accessible for re-use

Industrial Hearing Protection

The 3M E-A-R UltraFit earplugs are designed for workers in food processing and manufacturing environments where metal detection is mandatory. Each box contains 100 corded pairs that stay together during shift changes. The triple-flange profile fits a wide range of ear canals without rolling the tips.

Clean Fit and Low Fatigue

Premolded flanges eliminate the need to roll the plug with dirty hands, keeping the polymer surface clean. The soft washable material can be reused, reducing waste and ongoing cost. A poly bag stores each pair between uses so they remain accessible on the line.

Not for Quiet Offices

Buyers who need maximum attenuation for extremely loud impulse noise will find these plugs insufficient. The design targets detectable compliance rather than highest noise reduction, so users in heavy stamping or aviation roles should select a higher-rated protector.

Questions about this item

How do I fit the triple-flange earplugs without rolling them first?

Insert each flange directly into the ear canal using clean hands; the pre-moulded shape seals without rolling so tips stay clean even if fingers are dirty.

When should the corded pair be replaced?

Wash the soft polymer with mild soap and water; replace the plugs when flanges lose elasticity, show cracks, or no longer seal comfortably.

What limits all-day wear during a long game?

The triple-flange design fits a wide range of ear sizes, but prolonged pressure in the canal can cause fatigue; take regular breaks to maintain comfort.
