Heat-shrink tube for 4/0–500 MCM cable

This 3M EPS300 tube fits wire from 4/0 AWG up to 500 MCM. The red polyolefin sleeve carries an inner adhesive layer that bonds when heated. Ten six-inch pieces come in the pack, each ready to seal and protect large-gauge connections.

3:1 shrink ratio and 250 °F activation

The tubing shrinks from a 1 in inner diameter down to .32 in, giving a 3:1 reduction. A minimum temperature of 250 °F is required to start the shrink and activate the adhesive. Below that point the tube will not seal, so a suitable heat source is essential.

Operating range from -67 °F to 230 °F

After shrinking the wall measures .04 in thick and withstands continuous temperatures between -67 °F and 230 °F. The material is flame-retardant and resists abrasion, acids and alkalis. Installations outside this thermal window are not supported.
