  • 100 % polyester mesh construction resists solvent degradation

EPX Plunger for 10:1 Acrylic Adhesives

The 3M EPX Plunger is engineered for dispensing 45mL cartridges at a 10:1 mixing ratio. It fits the EPX II Manual Applicator for general industrial bonding, gluing and sealing tasks. The green polyester mesh construction provides high visibility during operation. This accessory suits technicians who need precise two-part adhesive delivery.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The plunger is a passive mechanical component with no electrical or thermal characteristics. It generates no heat, noise or power draw during normal adhesive dispensing. Performance depends entirely on the manual applicator and the adhesive chemistry being used. Buyers needing automated metering or powered mixing should consider alternative equipment.

Questions about this item

How do I install the green 10:1 plunger into the EPX II applicator, and which step is commonly missed?

Insert the plunger so the 10:1 marking aligns with the cartridge slots, then press until it clicks; the step often missed is confirming the 45 mL cartridge sits fully seated before locking the latch.

What maintenance or replacement will the 100 % polyester mesh plunger need over time?

Wipe the green plunger clean after each use to stop adhesive build-up; replace it when the mesh shows wear or the 10:1 ratio marking becomes hard to read.
