Desk accessory for optical mouse users

The 3M Gel Comfort Wrist Rest measures .8 by 19 by 2.8 inches and provides a gel-filled platform that encourages neutral wrist posture during long sessions. An antimicrobial additive inhibits bacteria growth that can cause stains, odours and product degradation over time.

Antimicrobial leatherette cover with nonskid base

A soft leatherette surface resists wear while the nonskid base keeps the pad fixed on the desk without adhesive. The Precise Optical Mousing Surface uses microtexture valleys to trap dirt while the mouse glides on peaks for consistent high-speed traction.

Upgrades from a bare desk or cloth pad

Optical mouse users who want longer battery life benefit from the surface design that extends battery performance up to 75 percent. Buyers who need a rigid support or a built-in mouse pad with different dimensions should look elsewhere.

Questions about this item

Does the 3M Precise Optical Mousing Surface improve optical mouse tracking?

Yes, the microtexture optimises light reflectivity and contrast for better tracking and can extend wireless mouse battery life by up to 75 percent.

What desk space does the 0.8 by 19 by 2.8 inch wrist rest require?

It needs a flat area at least 19 inches wide and 2.8 inches deep, with 0.8 inches of vertical clearance above the desk.

How do I install the wrist rest so the nonskid base grips properly?

Clean the desk surface first, then press the wrist rest down firmly; skipping the cleaning step is the common mistake that lets it slide.
