The ultra-thin filter adds only 0.345 weight units and sits flush with the thinnest laptop lids. It attaches and removes easily, leaving the webcam and sensors uncovered while adding a scratch-resistant layer over the display.

Questions about this item

Does the filter add noticeable thickness to a 15.4" MacBook Pro lid?

It is 50% thinner than standard 3M Gold Privacy Filters and designed as the thinnest gold filter yet for today's thinnest laptops.

How warm does the gold surface get after hours of use?

The filter is a passive optical layer with no electronics, so it generates no heat of its own during extended use.

My MacBook Pro has a Touch Bar — does the filter cover it or leave it exposed?

The custom-cut 16:10 filter covers the 15.4" display area only; the Touch Bar below the screen remains fully accessible.
