Non-insulated fork terminal accepts 14 to 16 AWG wire, fits a #8 stud, and is rated for 600 V with a 0.65 in overall length
This 3M M14-8FBX fork terminal connects 14 to 16 AWG wires to a #8 stud using a crimp termination. The bare copper connector features a brazed seam and tin finish for reliable conductivity. It is UL Listed and CSA Certified for electrical installations up to 600 V. The blue color identifies the wire range at a glance.
Swapping a failed ring terminal for this fork style allows faster installation because the open tongue slides onto the stud without removing the nut completely. The jump is worth it when maintenance access is tight or when vibration demands the secure brazed-seam barrel. It does not suit applications that require insulated barrels or sealed crimp joints.
The non-insulated barrel exposes the crimp joint, so the installer must add separate insulation or heat shrink for voltage isolation. Maximum operating temperature is 347 degrees F, limiting use in high-heat zones near exhaust manifolds or heating elements. The 0.25 in barrel length and 0.65 in overall length restrict the terminal to panels where stud depth and clearance match these dimensions.

It fits a #8 stud and has a barrel length of .25 in and an overall length of .65 in.
Strip the wire, insert it fully into the .25 in barrel, and compress with a crimp tool rated for non-insulated copper terminals.
Replace it if the tin finish shows corrosion, the brazed seam cracks, or the copper barrel loosens after exposure above 347 °F or 600 V.
