Product identity

3M M14-8R/LK non-insulated ring terminals accept 16 to 14 AWG wire and fit a #8 stud. The brazed seam and copper construction meet CSA and UL listings for 600 V service up to 347 °F. Packaged in quantities of 1000 for production use.

Suitability

Installers terminating 16 to 14 AWG conductors on #8 studs will find the .31 in tongue and .74 in overall length fit standard lugs. Buyers who need insulated barrels, a different stud size or a wire range outside 16 to 14 AWG should look at other terminal styles.

Capacity and headroom

Each terminal carries the full 600 V rating at temperatures up to 347 °F with a secure crimp connection. The 1000-piece pack supports high-volume wiring jobs, while the bare copper finish requires separate insulation where the application demands it.

Questions about this item

What wire gauge range does the 3M M14-8R/LK terminal accept?

This ring terminal accepts 16 to 14 AWG wire, so the installer must already have conductors within that size range for a proper crimp.

Will the #8 stud hole fit the #8 bolts already on my equipment?

Yes, the terminal is built for a #8 stud, matching standard #8 bolts or screws the buyer may be reusing.

How can I confirm the crimp is sound after installation?

A correct crimp shows a uniform, brazed-seam barrel gripping the 16-14 AWG conductor with no exposed strands and the tongue seated flat against the #8 stud.
