Nylon-insulated fork terminals for 18 AWG wire, #8 stud, 600 V, 100 pieces
The 3M MNG18-8FLX is a crimp-style fork terminal designed for wire gauges from 22 AWG to 18 AWG. It suits installers who need a secure, insulated connection on a number 8 stud in automotive, industrial or general electrical work.
The red nylon insulation grip withstands a maximum operating temperature of 221 degrees Fahrenheit and is rated for 600 volts. Copper contacts with a tin finish provide reliable conductivity, while the butted seam and barrel design support consistent crimp termination.
Each package contains 100 terminals, all CSA certified and UL listed for code-compliant installations. The insulation grip barrel simplifies wire insertion, and the RoHS-compliant construction meets restricted-substance requirements without additional accessories or software.

Strip the wire to match the .87 in overall length, insert fully into the barrel so insulation enters the grip section, then crimp with a ratchet tool sized for 18-22 AWG; the step often missed is verifying the insulation is gripped, not just the conductor.
Inspect each connection periodically for cracked red nylon insulation, discoloured tin plating, or a loose fit on the #8 stud; replace any terminal showing heat damage or corrosion rather than re-using it.
The 221 °F maximum operating temperature of the nylon insulation is the first limit; sustained loads that push the terminal body beyond this temperature will degrade the insulation before the copper or tin components fail.
