Red female disconnect terminals accept 18-22 AWG wire, crimp termination, 600 V rating, pack of 100
These 3M female disconnect terminals accept 18 to 22 AWG wire with a crimp termination. The brass contacts feature a butted seam and full nylon insulation in red. Each terminal fits a 0.187 inch wide by 0.02 inch thick tab. The pack contains 100 pieces for wiring harness assembly or repair work.
Use these disconnects when existing terminals show corrosion, heat damage or loose tab retention. The 600 volt rating and 221 degree Fahrenheit temperature limit match many automotive and industrial circuits. The jump is worth it when a full-insulation barrel and CSA, UL and RoHS compliance are required for the installation.
Strip the wire to suit the 0.085 inch barrel diameter and crimp with a standard ratchet tool for 18-22 AWG. The butted seam demands even pressure all round to avoid a loose joint. The main error is under-crimping, which leaves the terminal able to pull off the wire or overheat in service.

The disconnect accepts a tab width of 0.187 in and a tab thickness of 0.02 in for a secure connection.
Strip the wire, insert it fully into the 0.085 in barrel inside diameter, and use a proper crimp tool; the common error is not seating the wire completely before crimping.
Replace the disconnect if the nylon insulation shows heat damage above 221 Degrees F, the brass contact is corroded, or the crimp joint becomes loose over time.
