14-inch 16:9 privacy filter

The 3M PF140W9B is a black privacy filter sized for 14-inch widescreen laptops with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It darkens the screen when viewed from the side while keeping the image clear when viewed straight on. The filter is reversible with a glossy finish on one side and a glare-reducing matte finish on the other. It suits professionals who handle sensitive data in open-plan offices or while travelling.

Check screen dimensions and mounting

Measure the active display area of your laptop to confirm it matches a 14-inch 16:9 panel before ordering. The filter attaches to the bezel, so verify that the bezel is flat and wide enough for the adhesive strips or tabs supplied. Curved screens, ultra-thin bezels or non-standard aspect ratios may prevent a secure fit. Clean the bezel thoroughly before application to ensure the adhesive bonds correctly.

Reversible finish and included adhesives

The dual-sided design lets you choose between a glossy surface that preserves colour vibrancy and a matte surface that cuts reflections and hides fingerprints. The package includes adhesive strips and tabs for semi-permanent mounting as well as a cleaning cloth to prepare the screen. These accessories allow installation without tools and let you switch the finish by removing and flipping the filter.
