23.8in Widescreen Privacy Filter

The 3M PF238W9B is a frameless privacy filter sized for a 23.8in widescreen monitor. It limits the viewing angle so only the person directly in front of the screen can read the content. The silver finish adds a subtle metallic look while reducing glare. It attaches to the display bezel without a surrounding frame.

For open-plan offices and shared workspaces

This filter suits professionals who handle confidential data in environments where side-glance visibility is a risk. It is not intended for users who need wide collaborative viewing angles or who prefer a matte anti-glare surface without the privacy effect. Buyers with curved or non-standard aspect-ratio screens should verify fit before purchase.

Covers a single 23.8in widescreen display

The filter provides full coverage for one 23.8in widescreen monitor, preserving on-screen clarity for the centred user. It does not extend to multi-monitor setups or displays larger than the stated size. Headroom is limited to the exact panel dimensions, so oversized bezels or curved edges may leave gaps.

Questions about this item

My monitor is 23.8 inches widescreen — will the PF238W9B fit it?

The filter is made for a 23.8in widescreen panel, so it matches that screen size.

I keep an older 40-inch monitor on the same desk — can I use this filter on it instead?

No, the PF238W9B is sized for 23.8in displays; a 40in screen needs a different filter.

How do I check the filter is working once it is on the screen?

Look straight on — text stays readable — then view from the side; the silver surface should darken the image.
