Product Identity

The 3M PF320W9B is a privacy filter built for 32-inch widescreen monitors with a 16:9 aspect ratio. It uses microlouver technology to restrict viewing angles so that only the person directly in front of the screen sees a clear image. The filter attaches with included adhesive strips or slide-mount tabs and offers a reversible matte or glossy finish.

Ideal Users and Limits

This accessory suits office workers, healthcare staff, and anyone handling confidential data on a supported 32-inch display who needs to block side views in open-plan or public settings. It is not for users with curved screens, monitors of a different diagonal or aspect ratio, or touchscreens that require uninterrupted surface contact.

Deciding Specification

The single specification that decides fit is the 32-inch 16:9 form factor; the filter dimensions of 27.87 inches wide by 15.67 inches high must match the active display area exactly for the attachment strips and slide tabs to work.

Questions about this item

How often will I need to replace the attachment strips or slide-mount tabs on this 32" filter?

The filter ships with attachment strips and slide-mount tabs for a secure fit; they stay in place for the life of the product and do not have a scheduled replacement interval.

What is the first limitation I will hit when the PF320W9B runs all day on a 32" 16:9 monitor?

The microlouver privacy layer narrows the viewing angle so side visibility drops off first; brightness and clarity straight-on remain consistent during extended use.

Does the 1.9 kg filter add noticeable heat or fan noise to my monitor during all-day operation?

The filter is a passive optical layer with no electronics, so it generates no heat and adds no noise; it simply reduces blue light and glare while you work.
