3M Solus 1000 Safety Glasses Kit

The 3M Solus 1000 safety glasses kit delivers certified eye protection with a clear polycarbonate lens and Scotchgard anti-fog coating. A removable foam gasket and an interchangeable strap are included to help seal out dust and keep the frames secure during active work. The wraparound half-frame design fits a universal size and provides 99.99 percent UVA and UVB protection for indoor or outdoor use.

Workers needing sealed eyewear

This kit suits professionals who require a foam-lined seal and a strap to prevent slippage in humid or high-movement environments. The clear, non-polarised lens is intended for general impact protection rather than glare reduction or specialised optical filtering. Buyers who need polarised lenses, photochromatic transition, or metal-detectable frames should look at alternative models.

Scotchgard anti-fog coating on polycarbonate lens

The defining specification is the Scotchgard anti-fog coating applied to the clear polycarbonate lens, which maintains visibility in condensation-prone conditions. Combined with the removable foam gasket and interchangeable strap, this coating determines whether the glasses meet the anti-fog and seal requirements of the specific task.

Questions about this item

What frame size and material does the Solus 1000 use for universal fit?

The Solus 1000 uses a universal-size wraparound half-frame made from polycarbonate, with interchangeable temples in black and green for a secure fit.

How do you switch between the included strap and the standard temples on the 3M Solus 1000 kit?

The temples are interchangeable; remove the existing arms by releasing the hinge mechanism and snap the strap attachment into the same mounting points until it clicks.

When should the removable foam gasket on the Solus 1000 be replaced?

Replace the foam gasket when it becomes compressed, torn, or no longer seals against the face, as damage reduces the dust and splash protection it provides.
