Self-stripping pigtail connector joins two or three 22-14 AWG wires with a moisture-resistant, flame-retardant seal, rated to 105 °C and 600 V, pack of 50
This pack contains fifty blue self-stripping wire caps rated for 22-14 AWG solid or stranded copper conductors. The insulation displacement design lets electricians and maintenance technicians make pigtail or run-and-tap splices without stripping insulation first. UL Listed and CSA Certified, they suit industrial and occupational wiring tasks where reliable connections are required.
The nylon-insulated bodies are flame retardant and rated for continuous operation at 105 °C (221 °F). They withstand 600 volts maximum for building wire and 1000 volts for signs, fixtures and luminaires. A moisture-resistant seal protects the tin-plated brass element from corrosion in damp locations, though the connectors are not rated for direct burial or submerged use.
These connectors replace traditional twist-on wire nuts when faster installation and a moisture-resistant seal are needed. The jump is worth it for jobs involving multiple solid or stranded wires in the 22-14 AWG range where vibration or humidity could loosen a standard mechanical splice. They do not suit applications requiring direct underground burial or consumer-grade packaging.

Strip no more than 0.155 inch of insulation, insert two or three 22-14 AWG wires into the blue cap, then squeeze firmly with pliers until the metal element pierces every conductor; the step most often missed is verifying that all wires are fully seated before crimping.
No scheduled maintenance is required; inspect periodically for corrosion on the tin-plated brass element or cracking of the flame-retardant nylon body, and replace the connector if either is found.
The 105 °C (221 °F) operating-temperature ceiling is reached before the 600 V building-wire or 1000 V fixture voltage ratings become limiting factors.
