What Horace is and who will play it

Horace is a story-driven platform adventure published by 505 Games and delivered as a Steam code for Windows. The game blends eccentric British humour with a cinematic narrative and a heavy dose of nostalgic pop-culture references. Players who enjoy indie action-adventure titles with a strong emphasis on story and character will find it a good fit. Buyers who need a physical disc or a DRM-free version should look elsewhere.

System requirements and regional activation

Minimum specifications call for Windows 7, an Intel i5 processor, 4 MB of RAM and any DirectX 12 compatible graphics card with 12 GB of storage space. Recommended specifications step up to Windows 10, an Intel i7 processor and 8 MB of RAM while keeping the same graphics and storage baseline. A Steam account and internet connection are mandatory for activation and installation, and the code cannot be redeemed in the extensive list of blocked countries.

What the Steam code provides

The downloadable code unlocks the full game on Steam with no additional physical media or bundled DLC included. Once activated the title appears in the owner's library for installation on any compatible PC. No separate launcher, subscription or extra software beyond the Steam client is required to play.

Questions about this item

How do I install Horace using the Steam code, and what step do people often miss?

Redeem the code in Steam, then download the 12 GB game file; the step many miss is ensuring Steam is running and logged into the correct account before entering the key.

Will Horace need any future downloads or patches after the initial install?

Steam will automatically download any updates or patches released by 505 Games, so no manual maintenance is required beyond keeping the client online.

What is the first hardware limit I will hit when playing Horace for long sessions?

The 4 MB minimum RAM requirement is the first bottleneck; sustained play on a system with only that amount will cause slowdowns long before storage or GPU limits appear.
