The 892LT is a compact learning remote with two programmable buttons for Security+ 2.0 garage door openers and gate operators. It replaces multiple remotes by controlling up to two doors, gates or MyQ light accessories from a single unit. The remote arrives new with a AAA battery included and a visor clip for vehicle mounting. Homeowners and property managers who use compatible LiftMaster or Chamberlain systems can add or replace a handset quickly.

Yellow-Learn-Button Compatibility

The remote works only with Security+ 2.0 openers that have a yellow programming button, as well as Security+ 315 MHz and 390 MHz models with red, orange or purple learn buttons. It also clones LiftMaster or Chamberlain dip-switch codes for older installations. Tri-band operation on 310, 315 and 390 MHz frequencies is selectable per button during programming. The visor clip and key-ring size let the remote stay on a sun visor, key chain or in a pocket for daily access.

Security+ 2.0 Rolling Code

Each button press transmits a new rolling code using Security+ 2.0 encryption, preventing replay attacks on the garage or gate. Programming is performed through the MyQ app by selecting the Smart Garage Hub device and following the prompts for the 828LM model type. The FCC ID HBW7472 confirms regulatory compliance for the tri-band transmitter. Buyers whose opener lacks a yellow learn button or Security+ 2.0 support cannot use this remote.
