A wireless mechanical number keypad that doubles as a standalone calculator with a retro LED display, Kailh Box White V2 switches and a Windows Calculator shortcut button.
The 8BitDo Retro 18 is a wireless mechanical keypad that doubles as a standalone calculator. It connects to Windows or Android devices through Bluetooth 5.0, 2.4G wireless or a wired USB link. A dedicated button launches the Windows Calculator app instantly. The unit includes a 2.4G adapter and USB cable.
The keypad runs on an internal battery rated for 160 hours of use after a four-hour charge. No active cooling is present, so operation is silent. Mechanical Kailh Box White switches V2 produce an audible click with each keystroke. Power draw is limited to the charging cycle and wireless transmission.
A hot-swappable PCB lets users replace switches without soldering. Dye-sub PBT keycaps on the N Edition resist shine over time. 8BitDo Ultimate Software V2 provides firmware updates only; it does not remap keys or create macros. The nine-digit seven-segment LED display is controlled by an independent panel.

Plug the 2.4G adapter into a USB port, turn the keypad on, then pair via Bluetooth 5.0 in Windows settings; the step people miss is pressing the mode button to select PC numpad mode before pairing.
The Kailh Box White switches V2 are hot-swappable; pull a switch out with a switch puller and press a new one in — no soldering required. The dye-sub PBT keycaps can also be pulled off and replaced.
Battery life is rated at 160 use hours per charge; the keypad will need recharging long before any thermal limit is reached.
