108-key wireless mechanical keyboard

The 8BitDo Retro M Edition is a full-size mechanical keyboard with an integrated number pad and 108 keys. It uses Kailh Box White Switches V2 and dye-sublimation PBT keycaps in an MDA-like profile on a hot-swappable PCB with n-key rollover. The board connects via Bluetooth, 2.4 GHz wireless or wired USB and works with Windows 10 (1903) or later and Android 9.0 or later.

Compatibility checklist before ordering

Verify that the host device runs Windows 10 version 1903 or newer, or Android 9.0 or newer, to use all connection modes. The keyboard requires a free USB port for the 2.4 GHz receiver or for wired operation. No additional driver installation is needed for basic input, but the optional 8BitDo Ultimate Software on PC provides deeper key mapping and macro configuration.

Thermals noise and power draw

As a keyboard the unit produces no measurable heat and draws minimal power over USB or from its internal battery during wireless use. The Kailh Box White Switches V2 generate an audible click with each keystroke, so the typing sound level is determined by the switch character rather than active cooling. No fan or thermal management is present.
