40th Anniversary Edition Wireless Controller
The 8BitDo Ultimate 40th Anniversary controller marks four decades of Rare with an officially licensed Xbox gamepad. It connects to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PCs through 2.4G wireless or wired USB, and to Apple and Android devices via Bluetooth. Hall Effect joysticks and triggers provide drift-resistant input for competitive play.
Upgrade from standard Xbox pads
This model adds Hall Effect sticks and triggers, two programmable rear paddles and a golden metal tactile D-pad that stock controllers lack. Three onboard profiles let you swap button maps instantly, while impulse triggers and vibration function on Xbox and Windows. The integrated charging dock removes the need for disposable batteries or separate cables.
Build integration and limits
The dock charges the controller automatically and re-pairs it the moment you lift it, keeping a desk setup tidy. A 3.5 mm audio jack supports wired headsets directly on the pad. Buyers who need wired-only latency for tournament rules or who prefer asymmetric stick layouts will not find those options here.

Questions about this item
What width does the charging dock need on my desk?
The integrated charging dock is 14 centimetres wide and 19 centimetres deep.
How do I pair the controller with an Android phone, and what step do people miss?
Switch the mode to Bluetooth, hold the pairing button until the LED flashes, then select the controller in the phone's Bluetooth menu; the step often missed is switching the mode selector first.
When will the Hall Effect joysticks or triggers need replacement?
Hall Effect sensors are solid-state and do not wear like potentiometer sticks, so they typically last the life of the controller without replacement.
