Universal Wireless Keypad

The 940EV-P2 wireless keypad provides keyless entry for compatible Chamberlain, LiftMaster, Sears and Craftsman garage door openers manufactured since 1993. It operates on a single 9V alkaline battery and uses a 4-digit PIN to activate the opener without a remote control. Backlit buttons allow entry in low-light conditions. The unit weighs 0.159 kilograms and includes a 3-year manufacturer warranty.

Compatibility Limits

This keypad works with openers that have a Purple, Red, Orange, Yellow or Green learn button. It does not support Security+ 3.0 white learn button openers produced in 2026 or any dip-switch style openers. Rolling code encryption generates a new wireless code after each use for secure operation. An industrial-grade chip maintains signal stability in freezing temperatures without excess battery drain. The device carries FCC ID 2AQXW878MAX.

Replacement Reference

The 940EV-P2 replaces legacy keypads including G940EV-P2, 940EV, 940ESTD, 377LM, 977LM, 66LM, 376LM, 877LM, 877MAX, 878MAX and CMXZDCG440. Upgrading is worthwhile when an existing keypad has failed, lacks backlit buttons or cannot pair with a current opener learn button colour. It adds temporary PIN support for guest access without issuing remotes. Installation requires no wiring and mounts wirelessly in minutes.
