DDR4 2133 interface limits

The DDR4 2133 standard caps data-rate at 2133 MT/s and defines PC4-17000 peak bandwidth. Registered DIMMs add a clock cycle of buffering, so the memory controller must support registered operation. Mixing registered and unbuffered modules is not supported by the DDR4 specification. ECC requires a platform that can enable error-correction in the BIOS or firmware.

Installation notes
