Server Memory Kit

This A-Tech 512GB kit contains four 128GB DDR5 modules built for servers and workstations that require registered ECC memory. It is not compatible with desktop or laptop computers. The quad-channel kit delivers 512GB total capacity for multi-socket platforms that support high-density DDR5 RDIMMs. Buyers who need unbuffered memory or consumer form factors cannot use this product.

Registered ECC with 3DS Stacking

Each module is a 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM organised as 2S2Rx4 quad-rank using 3DS/TSV stacking. The EC8 registered ECC design provides error correction and signal buffering required by server chipsets. Systems that do not support registered ECC or quad-rank 3DS modules will not accept this memory. Buyers whose platforms require single-rank or dual-rank unbuffered DIMMs must choose a different kit.

512GB Capacity at DDR5 5600

The kit operates at 5600 MT/s with CL46 latency at the standard 1.10V DDR5 voltage. Four modules populate four channels for maximum bandwidth in compatible multi-processor servers. Workloads that exceed 512GB or require speeds above 5600 MT/s will need additional modules or a faster memory tier. Systems limited to lower densities per slot or slower DDR5 speeds cannot utilise the full specification.

Questions about this item

What does the 5600 MHz rating mean once the modules are installed in a server?

The modules run at DDR5 5600 MT/s, delivering up to 44800 MB/s of peak bandwidth per DIMM when the platform operates at the rated speed.

How does the EC8 registered interface affect what the memory controller can do?

EC8 RDIMM places a register on each command and address line and provides 8-bit ECC, so the memory controller sees a buffered load and can correct single-bit errors across the 4Rx4 3DS stack.

What physical space and slot layout do the four 128 GB sticks need?

Each stick is a 288-pin DDR5 DIMM; the kit requires four compatible DDR5 RDIMM slots populated according to the server's quad-channel population rules.
