64GB DDR5 6400 ECC RDIMM Server Module

This 64GB DDR5 6400 ECC registered DIMM is built for servers and workstations that require error-correcting memory at standard voltage. It uses a 288-pin form factor with a 2Rx4 rank configuration and CAS latency of 32. The module operates at 1.10V and is validated as a direct replacement for specific Hynix part numbers.

Replaces Hynix HMCG94AHBRA series modules

It replaces the Hynix HMCG94AHBRA, 480N, 481N and 487N modules when a system calls for that exact DDR5 6400 registered ECC specification. The upgrade is worth it when the platform supports DDR5 6400 RDIMM population rules and the workload needs the higher bandwidth of PC5-51200. Systems limited to lower DDR5 speeds or unbuffered DIMMs will not accept this module.

DDR5 6400 registered ECC platform constraints

The DDR5 6400 RDIMM standard requires a memory controller and BIOS that support 6400 MT/s registered ECC operation at 1.10V. Population limits depend on the specific CPU and motherboard qualification list; exceeding the supported ranks per channel will prevent boot. Mixing with different speeds, ranks or unbuffered DIMMs is not supported by the DDR5 RDIMM specification.

Questions about this item

Will the 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM fit my server's memory slots?

This module uses the standard 288-pin DDR5 RDIMM form factor, so it fits any server or workstation slot designed for DDR5 registered DIMMs.

What is the correct way to seat this 2Rx4 registered module, and what step do installers often miss?

Align the notch with the slot key, press firmly until both retention clips click, and verify the motherboard detects the full 64 GB capacity at 6400 MT/s in the BIOS.

Does the 1.10 V DDR5 module need any periodic maintenance or component replacement?

No scheduled maintenance is required; the module has no heat spreader or moving parts, so it runs for the system's lifetime unless a hardware fault occurs.
