An 8 GB DDR3L desktop module running at 1866 MHz with 1.35 V low-voltage operation
This 8GB DDR3L module runs at 1866MHz (PC3L-14900) on a 240-pin DIMM form factor. It operates at 1.35V low voltage and is an unbuffered, non-ECC UDIMM. The single stick design suits desktop owners adding or replacing memory.
DDR3L memory is specified for 1.35V operation and will not run at the higher 1.5V used by standard DDR3 modules. The 1866MHz rating is the tested frequency; systems that only support lower DDR3 speeds will downclock the module automatically. Compatibility depends on the motherboard accepting DDR3L voltage and unbuffered DIMMs.
The module requires a motherboard that supports 1.35V DDR3L operation; boards limited to 1.5V DDR3 cannot use this stick. Buyers who need standard-voltage DDR3 or registered ECC memory should select a different module.

This listing is for a single 8GB DDR3L DIMM. If your board has multiple slots you can add more identical modules later, but the product itself only comes in this 8GB size.
The module is tested to run at 1866 MHz, giving a peak transfer rate of PC3L-14900. Your system will use that speed if the memory controller supports it; otherwise the module will run at the highest speed the controller allows.
PC3L-14900 identifies DDR3L 1866 operating at 1.35V. It fits the same 240-pin DIMM slot as regular DDR3 1866, but the lower voltage reduces power draw and heat.
