  • Brand-new non-OEM adapter delivers reliable 12V DC power for daily use

What this charger replaces

The ABLEGRID 12V mains adapter is a non-OEM replacement for the original power supply that came with specific Audi-licensed children's ride-on cars. It suits owners of the TT RS, R8, A3 and Q5 models who need a new or spare unit because the factory charger is lost or faulty.

What it needs to work

The unit accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz from any household outlet worldwide, so no voltage selector or travel converter is required. A barrel-tip connector plugs directly into the vehicle charging port; buyers must verify that the tip size and DC output polarity match the car before ordering.

Heat protection and daily use

Built-in over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits shut the charger down if internal temperatures rise excessively or the input spikes. The supplier advises keeping the adapter in a ventilated, dry area during extended charging sessions and avoiding contact with skin or soft furnishings while it operates.

Questions about this item

How much current can the 12V output sustain before the over-heat protection trips?

The charger includes over-heat protection that will shut it down if the internal temperature rises too high during prolonged use at the rated 12V output.

Does the unit run silently or does it have a fan that becomes audible after hours of charging?

No fan is mentioned in the specifications, so the adapter relies on passive cooling and should remain silent during extended charging sessions.

Which Audi ride-on models use the barrel-tip connector supplied with this charger?

The charger is listed as compatible with Audi TT RS, R8, A3 and Q5 kids electric ride-on cars that accept a barrel-tip DC plug.
