45W USB-C Charger for Dell XPS 12 9250

This 45W USB-C power adapter is built for the Dell XPS 12 9250 and Latitude 13 7370. It delivers a DC output through a USB-C connector for direct laptop charging. The unit accepts AC 100-240V input at 50-60Hz for worldwide use. It is a non-OEM replacement certified to CE, FCC and RoHS standards.

Sustained load behaviour

The adapter incorporates over-voltage protection and over-heat protection to maintain safe operation during continuous charging sessions. These safeguards prevent damage to the charger and the connected laptop when the unit runs for extended periods. The design targets 100% compatibility with the original power requirements for consistent performance.

Thermals, noise and power draw in normal use

The charger operates from a standard AC mains supply without an internal fan, so it runs silently in typical office or home environments. Over-heat protection manages internal temperatures during normal operation. Users should ensure suitable ventilation during long charging periods and avoid placing the unit on insulating surfaces.

Questions about this item

Does the 45W USB-C charger stay cool and quiet when powering a Dell XPS 12 9250 all day?

The adapter includes over-heat protection and is designed for continuous operation; keep it in a ventilated area and do not place it on soft surfaces during extended use.

What must I already own for this 45W USB-C charger to work with my Dell Latitude 13 7370?

You need a Dell Latitude 13 7370 or XPS 12 9250 that charges via USB-C, plus a standard AC wall outlet (100-240V, 50-60Hz) to plug the adapter into.

Will this 45W USB-C adapter work alongside my older Dell barrel-tip charger for the same laptop?

This unit uses a USB-C connector; it will not fit the older barrel-style charging port, so it only works with models that accept USB-C power input.
