Replacement charger for Sony SRS-XB402G

This ABLEGRID adapter supplies 5 V at 3 A through a barrel tip that matches the Sony SRS-XB402G EXTRA BASS speaker with Google Assistant. It accepts AC 100-240 V at 50-60 Hz for worldwide use. The unit is non-OEM but built to the same output specification and carries CE, FCC and RoHS certification. Over-voltage and over-heat protection are included.

Power delivery and limits

The charger delivers a steady 5 V DC at up to 3 A, enough to run the speaker and charge its internal battery simultaneously. It will not support devices that require higher voltage or a different connector polarity. Continuous operation at full load is safe within the rated input range, but the adapter has no user-serviceable parts and must be kept ventilated. Users needing more current or a USB-C interface should look elsewhere.

Upgrade from lost or damaged original

This unit replaces a missing or failed factory power supply for the SRS-XB402G without changing the speaker’s performance. The jump is worth it when the original adapter is unavailable, physically damaged or no longer holds a stable output. It is not a power bank and cannot operate the speaker away from mains power. Buyers who need portable operation or a multi-device charging hub will not be served by this product.

Questions about this item

Will the 5V 3A output and barrel tip on this ABLEGRID adapter match the original power supply for my Sony SRS-XB402G speaker?

Yes, the adapter delivers 5V 3A DC through a barrel tip designed for 100% compatibility with the Sony SRS-XB402G EXTRA BASS speaker.

How can I verify the charger is functioning correctly once I plug it into the speaker?

The speaker should power on and charge normally; the adapter includes over-voltage and over-heat protection, so it will shut down safely if a fault occurs.

Does the package include everything I need to start charging, or must I buy a separate mains lead?

The box contains one new AC DC adapter power charger with an integrated mains cord for 100-240V input, so no extra cable is required.
