Power cord for Sony STR amplifiers

Owners of listed STR models needing a spare

The cable fits the STR-DA5000ES, STR-DA5200ES and STR-DA6400ES receivers. It is not suited to equipment with three-prong inlets or proprietary multi-pin connectors. Buyers requiring a different plug style or a longer run should look at other leads.

6.6 ft two-prong AC lead

The single decisive specification is the 6.6 ft two-prong AC lead that matches the three Sony STR models listed. Confirm the inlet on your receiver matches the connector shown before ordering.

Questions about this item

How can I confirm the 6.6ft cord is working correctly after connecting it to my Sony STR-DA5000ES?

Plug the 2-prong connector into the receiver's AC inlet and the other end into a wall outlet; the unit should power on normally with no error lights.

What comes in the package and is anything else needed for installation?

The box contains one 6.6ft black AC power cable cord; no additional parts or tools are required to connect it to the listed Sony models.

Which cable version should I choose for a Sony STR-DA5200ES versus a STR-DA6400ES?

This single 6.6ft 2-prong AC power cord is compatible with all three models — STR-DA5000ES, STR-DA5200ES and STR-DA6400ES — so no separate version is needed.
