  • CE, FCC and RoHS certified for safety compliance
  • Over-voltage and over-heat protection safeguards the laptop
  • Includes AC adapter and power cable in the box

Compatible HP EliteBook models

This 65W AC adapter is built for the HP EliteBook 850 G6, 840 G6 and 830 G6. It supplies 100-240V worldwide input at 50-60Hz and delivers DC power through a barrel tip. The unit includes over-voltage and over-heat protection and carries CE, FCC and RoHS certification.

Replacing a lost or faulty original charger

It serves as a direct non-OEM replacement when the factory adapter is missing, damaged or no longer holds a charge. The jump is worth it when the original tip size and DC output match the specifications listed for these EliteBook models. Buyers who need a higher wattage unit or a USB-C power delivery connector will not be served by this adapter.

Straightforward barrel-tip installation

Connect the supplied power cable to the adapter, plug into a mains socket and insert the barrel tip into the laptop. The only common issue is ordering the wrong tip size or output voltage; verify both against the original charger before purchase. Keep the adapter ventilated during extended use and avoid placing it on soft surfaces.

Questions about this item

What barrel-tip size does the 65 W adapter use for the EliteBook 850 G6, 840 G6 and 830 G6?

The charger ships with a barrel-tip connector; verify that the tip diameter and centre-pin dimensions match the original HP unit before ordering.

How do I install the AC adapter and what step is often missed?

Plug the supplied power cable into the adapter, connect the barrel tip firmly into the laptop’s DC jack, then plug the cable into a 100-240 V, 50-60 Hz wall outlet; the step users skip is confirming the tip seats fully.

What ongoing care does the power brick need?

Keep the adapter in a well-ventilated, low-humidity area and avoid placing it on soft surfaces; if the unit becomes unusually hot or shows damage, stop use immediately.
