65W AC Adapter for HP EliteBook G5

The ABLEGRID 65W AC adapter replaces the original charger for HP EliteBook 735, 745 and 755 G5 models. It accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240V at 50 or 60Hz and delivers DC power through a barrel tip connector. The unit ships with a detachable power cable and is CE, FCC and RoHS certified.

Sustained load behaviour

Built-in over-voltage and over-heat protection guards the adapter during continuous operation. The supplier advises keeping the unit in a well-ventilated area with suitable humidity when used for long periods and warns against placing it on skin-contact surfaces. No efficiency or thermal-throttling figures are provided.

Installation and common issues

Connection is straightforward: match the barrel tip to the laptop's DC jack and plug the IEC cable into a mains socket. The most frequent problem is ordering the wrong tip size or output rating, so verify the laptop's DC requirements before purchase. The package includes only the adapter and power cable.

Questions about this item

How hot or noisy does the ABLEGRID 65W AC adapter get when it runs all day?

The adapter has over-heat protection and no fan, so it stays silent. Keep it ventilated and avoid placing it on soft surfaces during extended use.

What must I already own for this ABLEGRID 65W charger to work with my EliteBook?

You need an HP EliteBook 735, 745 or 755 G5 that uses the 913691-850 barrel tip and a standard AC wall outlet.

Will this 65W ABLEGRID adapter work alongside the original HP power brick I still have?

Yes, it matches the 65W output and barrel connector of the 913691-850 unit, so either can power the same EliteBook G5 models.
