9.6 V Replacement Adapter for Superego+

This 9.6 V AC-DC adapter is built as a direct replacement power supply for the Electro-Harmonix Superego+ synth engine and multi-effect pedal. It accepts worldwide mains input from 100 V to 240 V at 50 Hz or 60 Hz, making it suitable for stage use in any region.

Barrel Tip Connector and Protection Features

The unit ships with a single barrel-tip DC connector sized to match the original pedal requirement. Built-in over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits guard the connected device during extended sessions, and the adapter carries CE, FCC and RoHS certifications for safety compliance.

Non-OEM Build with Ventilation Guidance

Supplied as a new, non-OEM charger, the housing is designed for continuous indoor operation when kept in a ventilated area away from heat-trapping surfaces. The fixed mains cord and single output lead keep the stage footprint small, while the 101 % compatibility claim ensures the pedal receives the correct voltage and polarity every time.

Questions about this item

Will the barrel tip need replacing if it loosens over time?

The barrel tip is fixed to the cable; if it wears you replace the whole adapter rather than the tip alone.

What is the first limit reached when the adapter runs continuously?

The 9.6 V DC output rating is the hard limit; drawing more current than the Superego+ requires will trigger the over-voltage or over-heat protection.

How much heat or noise does the unit produce during all-day operation?

It is a sealed wall-wart with no fan; only mild warmth is expected and there is no audible noise under normal load.
