ABLEGRID 9V AC-DC Adapter Charger for Electro-Harmonix Hot Wax Dual Overdrive

Purpose & Fit

This ABLEGRID 9V AC-DC adapter replaces the original mains supply for the Electro-Harmonix Hot Wax Dual Overdrive pedal. It accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz and delivers DC power through a barrel tip connector. Musicians needing a spare or replacement power source for this specific pedal will find 101% compatibility assured. Non-OEM construction keeps the cost practical without altering the pedal's tone.

Sustained Operation

Over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits engage automatically during extended rehearsals or gigs, preventing damage from mains spikes or restricted airflow. The supplier advises keeping the unit ventilated and away from soft surfaces when used for long periods. CE, FCC and RoHS certifications confirm the adapter meets international safety baselines for continuous indoor use. No internal battery is present, so operation depends entirely on a live AC outlet.

Deciding Specification

The critical match is the barrel tip connector size and DC output polarity required by the Hot Wax Dual Overdrive. If the pedal's original supply shows a different tip diameter or centre-positive versus centre-negative wiring, this adapter will not fit or could cause damage. Verify the pedal's markings before ordering; no other specification in the data overrides this physical and electrical match.
