Power adapter for Mod Rex pedal

The ABLEGRID 9V AC-DC adapter is built for the Electro-Harmonix EHX Mod Rex polyrhythmic modulator pedal. It accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz for worldwide mains use. The barrel-tip connector matches the pedal's DC input requirement. This unit is a non-OEM replacement certified to CE, FCC and RoHS standards.

Protection circuits and package contents

Over-voltage and over-heat protection guard the pedal during extended sessions. The box contains one new AC-DC adapter power charger and no additional cables or software. The 101% compatibility claim means the electrical specification mirrors the original supply. Buyers who need a multi-pedal daisy-chain cable or a battery-powered option will not find those here.

Output specification decides fit

The single figure that determines whether this adapter works is the DC output voltage and the barrel tip size. You must verify that the pedal requires 9V DC with the same tip polarity and diameter before ordering. If your device needs a different voltage, a centre-negative tip or a higher current rating, this adapter will not suit it.

Questions about this item

Will the barrel tip connector on this adapter wear out and need replacement?

The barrel tip is a fixed part of the cable; if it becomes loose or damaged the entire adapter must be replaced.

What limits continuous operation of this 9V power supply first?

Over-heat protection will shut the unit down if ventilation is inadequate during extended use.

How much heat and noise does this adapter produce when powering a Mod Rex pedal all day?

It runs silently with no fan; warmth is normal but the over-heat circuit will activate if airflow is blocked.
