Target Device & Compatibility

This 9 V AC–DC adapter is built for the Electro‑Harmonix OD Glove MOSFET Overdrive Distortion pedal. It accepts a worldwide AC input range of 100 to 240 V at 50 or 60 Hz and delivers a regulated DC output through a barrel tip connector. The unit is a non‑OEM replacement that claims 101% compatibility with the original power supply.

Sustained Operation Behaviour

The adapter includes over‑voltage and over‑heat protection circuits that engage during extended use. The supplier notes that the unit should be kept in a suitably ventilated area with controlled humidity when operated for long periods. No thermal throttling or efficiency figures are provided.

Installation Notes & Common Issues

Installation is straightforward: match the barrel tip to the pedal’s power jack and plug the adapter into a mains outlet. The most frequent issue is ordering a unit with an incorrect tip size or polarity, so verifying the pedal’s DC requirements before purchase is essential. Avoid placing the adapter on heat‑sensitive surfaces during use.

Questions about this item

Does the ABLEGRID 9V adapter run hot or draw much power when powering the OD Glove all day?

It includes over-heat and over-voltage protection and accepts 100-240 V AC at 50-60 Hz for continuous operation.

What must I already own to use this adapter with my Electro-Harmonix OD Glove?

You need the OD Glove pedal itself and a standard AC wall outlet; the adapter supplies the barrel-tip DC connection.

Will this adapter work safely alongside my older 9 V pedals on the same power strip?

Yes, the worldwide 100-240 V input and built-in protections let it share a strip with legacy gear.
