Power Supply for Electro-Harmonix Soul Food

The ABLEGRID 9V AC-DC adapter is built for guitarists who need a reliable mains power source for the Electro-Harmonix Soul Food distortion, fuzz and overdrive pedal. It replaces battery operation with a steady DC feed, keeping the pedal alive through long rehearsals and gigs.

Integration into a Pedalboard

The adapter accepts AC 100-240V at 50-60Hz, so it works on mains power worldwide without a separate voltage converter. Its barrel tip plugs directly into the pedal’s power jack, freeing the user from carrying spare 9V batteries and eliminating the risk of a battery dying mid-performance.

Behaviour Under Continuous Use

Over-voltage and over-heat protection circuits guard the pedal and the adapter itself during extended sessions. The unit is CE, FCC and RoHS certified, and the supplier notes 101% compatibility with the original power supply. Keeping the adapter in a ventilated space ensures stable output over long periods.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum AC input voltage the ABLEGRID adapter can handle before its over-voltage protection activates?

How much heat does the power supply generate when powering a Soul Food pedal continuously for hours?

The unit includes over-heat protection and the supplier advises keeping it in a well-ventilated area during extended use, but no specific temperature-rise figure is published.

Which pedal power connector does the adapter ship with to fit the Electro-Harmonix Soul Food?

It comes with a barrel-tip DC connector; the buyer must verify that the tip size and polarity match the Soul Food's power jack before ordering.
